Lysine-rich foods: Lysine is an amino acid which inhibits the growth of the herpes simplex virus. Lysine-rich foods such as turkey, fish, legumes, vegetables and chicken.

Red and Orange vegetables: The vegetables have antioxidants like carotenoids, bioflavonoids and Vitamin C which helps to form an overall immunity and also heals the skin and the wound.

Wild Caught Fish: This fish provides the vital omega 3 acids and this help to reduce the inflammation and repair the tissues near the infected area.

Protein: It is mandatory to have four to five ounces of protein everyday and so definitely have organic protein foods like pasture raised poultry, grass-fed beef, and wild caught fish. Thus, avoid processed food as much as it is possible.
